BREATH OF LIGHT
Descrizione
An exhibition event aimed at pulling ancient halls of the Schola of Battioro and Tiraoro in a charming sacred space beyond the time, physical and spiritual place dedicated to contemplation Omnipresent who lives within everything. Through paintings, drawings, graphics, photographs and installations, Franca Borgia invites us to look inside and observe (and live) the world around us with different eyes and spirit, to listen with participation in the "Light breath". His painting, made of signs, colors and modeling dough, moves along the path of the spiral, the universal symbol of continuity and knowledge, gesture-writing which crosses the nature making it alive and dynamic.
The inauguration of the exhibition, Franca Borgia is running for more than an hour, as a living installation, in laying and precious garments of Green Tara, a female Buddha compassionately that guarantees shelter and protection. The exhibition is dedicated to Meravisou-performance, stage name of Manfred Bruno Porkert, father of Frank Borgia; a distinguished scientist and man of culture who has dedicated his life to the study and dissemination of Chinese medicine, for which he also created the English terminology and Latin did not exist before. An interest and a passion for Asian cultures, also turned to the photographic documentation of rituals, traditions and beauty of the Far East. A love and knowledge for a world "other" that Meravisou sent to his daughter, a true heritage which Franca Borgia carries in his travel through the cosmos, searching for order and harmony. But in addition to this spiritual heritage, Franca has collected and wanted to continue his father's work on acupuncture: overcoming the invasiveness of needles and using the practice of Mudra to act on nerve endings ( "meridians") of the body, present in the hands and fingers. A technical-therapy, linked to the gestures and hand movements, designed to increase positive energy for physical and mental wellbeing. The exhibition includes a catalog with a critical presentation of Emanuele Horodniceanu
Meravisou disappears in Venice on March 31, 2015. His body, wrapped in a coffin painted by his daughter with colors of ancient Egypt, April 2 is shifted to the cemetery of San Michele. On 15 October the same year, unbeknownst to the daughter, the coffin is unearthed and transferred to Austria to the will of another wife, in addition to never having given an answer for its action, he prevented Franca to recover some of his paintings , preserved in the Venetian house of the father and devoted to this exposure. An arbitrary and unjustified event (and pain) that Franca Borgia carries within him in a show marked by joy and positivity, in which every fragment of nature is a dynamic and passionate hymn to life.
Franca Borgia studied Surikov Moscow State Academy of Art. He lived in Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. Since 2012 lives and works in Venice. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Russia, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
