He began his musical career in the late seventies as the voice of various local punk rock band of the Romagna scene. At the beginning of the eighties, with the advent of new electronic technologies (such as MIDI protocol) he became interested in electronic music and creates, together with Roberto Zoli, to different musical projects that culminate in the foundation of Politrio and publication of disk Effect Eisenhower in 1986.

The approach to the more technical side of music led him to work as a sound engineer with PFM and with Litfiba. In 1990 he participated as a guitarist and as a sound engineer on the top of the CCCP disc, Epica Etica Etnica Pathos.

In the early nineties, after the dissolution of the CCCP Fedeli to the line, he moved almost permanently in France. He collaborates with tour of Noir Désir and produces the three discs of Corman & Tuscadu. He also plays the guitar in the second album Pestacle.

In 1992 he founded the Consortium of Independent Musicians along with other former members of the CCCP Fedeli to the line. In the group alongside the guitars Massimo Zamboni, under Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Gianni Maroccolo production. During the experience of the CIS continues a solo project that culminates in the hard What happened Lazlotòz 1998.

In 1999 he made the soundtrack for the film Look by Davide Ferrario.

After the end of the CIS and the division of the two founders, Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni, further develops his solo project and collects some of the musicians who had joined him in the Lazlotòz tour in a stable formation, the Rossofuoco, will accompany him in all subsequent discs. To date just the Giorgio Canali & Rossofuoco group is the most important musical and artistic activities, which resulted in the publication of five albums: Rossofuoco, Giorgio Canali & Rossofuoco (different from the self-titled debut, featuring the album cover bearing an arrow indicates below), all against all, Our Lady Dynamite and Rojo.

Since 2001, in parallel with the experience soloist, he is still at the side of John Lindo Ferretti in PGR, always as a guitarist. He has collaborated with many Italian and foreign groups, including PFM, Litfiba, Marlene Kuntz, Afterhours, Noir Désir, Dropkick Murphys, Frigidaire Tango, Virginiana Miller, Holy Nothing Zen Circus, Nobraino, nonsense, Fear, Miura, yo yo Mundi, Ulan Bator, Melt, Wolfgang, the State Social, (P) neumatica, Fifth State, Masoko, Hic Niger Est, Operaja Criminal, Nolatzco, Ilene Fox and Angela Baraldi (with which he has led on tour a show called "Love Will Tear Us Apart (again)", a tribute to Joy Division on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Ian Curtis).

In 2011 it is published the book yourself fuck. A biography of Giorgio Canali, unauthorized biography of the singer containing interviews, unpublished texts, contributions of different friends (among others: John Lindo Ferretti, Ginevra Di Marco, Francesco Magnelli, Davide Ferrario, Noir Désir, Umberto Palazzo, Virginiana Miller, Afterhours, Dropkick Murphys, the lights of the Power, Bugo, Verdena, Nobraino, Yo Yo Mundi, the Zen Circus, Angela Baraldi, Frigidaire Tango, Enrico Brizzi) and a CD of rarities selected by the same channels.

In 2013 participates in the CIS (which, however, does not take part Giovanni Lindo Ferretti meeting chat, replaced by Angela Baraldi) for the tour entitled "What You Should Not Happen, It happens."
